Vegastars KYC and AML Policy: What You Need to Verify Your Account

Here we’ve put Vegastars’ KYC page, its Help Centre articles on documents and the verification clauses of its T&C into one summary, current as of October 2026. If anything below reads differently from those documents on vegastars12.com, follow the originals. Vegastars hands its KYC checks to Sumsub: automatic approval normally takes less than five minutes, and manual review is quoted at up to 24 hours. You’ll be asked for three documents: photo ID, proof of address and proof of payment.

Because checks are risk-based, the request might arrive with your first withdrawal or before it. The T&C spell out two triggers: a payout, which can be held until your identity is confirmed, and any bonus over €250. All of these sources were read on 2 October 2026.

When Vegastars asks you to verify

According to the public KYC page, checks follow “applicable regulatory requirements” along with the casino’s own risk-based framework, and verification can be requested early if risk controls or the law call for it. Between them, the T&C, the KYC page and the referral programme page identify these points:

  • Before a payout. Your identity may be checked before a withdrawal is processed, with the money held for as long as that takes (12.2).
  • Large bonuses. Anything above €250 is credited only after KYC (11.7).
  • Higher-value activity. For higher amounts the KYC page adds a liveness check and proof of source of funds or wealth. Deposits beyond €50,000 a day aren’t accepted without source of funds and wealth checks.
  • Big wins. Winning more than $10,000 in a day sets off extra anti-fraud and transaction checks (12.11).
  • Referral rewards. Your cash reward for referring a friend is paid only after that friend completes KYC Levels 1 and 2; Level 2 is where an ID document gets submitted.

The process may also involve a phone call to the number on your account. T&C 9.9 says that if Vegastars fails to reach you by email or phone within two weeks of a withdrawal request, it locks the account on the grounds that KYC wasn’t completed. Make sure both contact details are up to date.

Help Centre articles on accepted documents (identity, address, payment), cross-checked with the Vegastars KYC page and the T&C on 2 October 2026.

Proof of identity

One of the three ID types is enough. Photograph the original, says the Help Centre; it doesn’t want a scan or a screenshot. Under the T&C, documents have to be in Latin or Cyrillic script, and other scripts may prompt a request for video verification (10.5). Australian passports and driver licences already use Latin script, so most locals won’t run into this clause.

Proof of address: six months or three?

Vegastars’ own sources give different answers here. The Help Centre article, last updated in March 2026, allows documents from the past six months, while the KYC page still reads “within the last three months”. A document from the last three months meets both. Neither version accepts neobank statements, so even a fresh Revolut or Wise statement will be turned down. A traditional bank statement, a utility bill or an official letter will do.

Proof of payment: cards and bank transfers

Card users photograph the front with their name, the first six digits and the last four in view, with the middle digits and CVV masked. A statement that shows the card can stand in for the photo. If you paid by bank transfer, send a bank statement or a screenshot of the account. Vegastars proof of payment verification follows the method you really deposited with, so the document has to match that card or account.

Sumsub: automatic vs manual verification

You upload under My Account, then Verification, and Sumsub takes it from there. The site advertises automatic verification at “under five minutes”. Documents that need a person to look at them move to manual verification, shown on the site with a 24-hour verification time. Accepted formats are .jpeg, .png, .pdf, .doc, .heic and .docx, so HEIC photos from an iPhone can go up as they are.

AML rules that shape your deposits and withdrawals

In the T&C, the anti-money-laundering part of the policy takes the form of rules on whose money it is and which way it travels:

  • Third-party payments and business cards are refused, so deposits have to come from your own personal methods.
  • Payouts return to the account that funded the deposit (12.9), and crypto goes back as crypto.
  • A deposit can’t be withdrawn until it has been wagered at least once (12.12).
  • Over €50,000 deposited in a day, source of funds and wealth checks are required.
  • No VPNs to disguise your location or identity (9.7).

In practice, every deposit stays traceable to the verified account holder and the method it came in by. What this means at the cashier, approval and transfer times included, is covered by our Vegastars withdrawal rules summary.

How long Vegastars keeps KYC records

Per the KYC page, AML and KYC records are kept for a minimum of five years once an account is closed, so your documents stay on file after closure. Send questions about your personal data to dpo@vegastars.com.

How to pass Vegastars verification the first time

  1. Sign up using your full name and current address, written exactly as on your documents.
  2. Take a photo of the original passport, driving licence or ID card; a scan or screenshot won’t do.
  3. Pick an address document from the last three months issued by a traditional bank or a utility company. Neobank paperwork won’t count.
  4. Get the card photo right: name plus the first 6 and last 4 digits on show, everything in between and the CVV hidden.
  5. Use one method in your own name for both deposits and withdrawals.
  6. Once a withdrawal is requested, watch your email and phone. If two weeks pass without contact, the account gets locked.
  7. When an upload is rejected, find out from live chat which document failed before you try again.
