Responsible Gambling at Vegastars: Tools, Limits and Where to Get Help

Vegastars responsible gambling tools are grouped in the Responsible Gaming section of your account. You get a deposit limit by day, week or month, a loss limit, a wager limit, a time-out of 1 day, 1 week, 1 month or 3 months, and self-exclusion for 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or permanently. Cutting a limit works straight away; raising or removing one only applies after a 24-hour cooling-off period. The casino is for adults only (18+), and Gambling Help Online (1800 858 858) is there for anyone already in trouble with gambling.

This page is a summary of Vegastars’ published terms, October 2026. On 2 October 2026 we went through the casino’s Responsible Gambling page, sections 9.8 to 9.10 of its Terms and Conditions and all seven articles in the Responsible Gambling part of its Help Centre. Settings that appear only after login are flagged as such, because we have no account to view them from.

How to set a Vegastars deposit limit before your first deposit

Up to A$6,000 in bonus money is spread across three deposits in the welcome package, yet the minimum top-up is only A$20. With a gap that wide, the first deposit is the simplest point to set a ceiling, before a bonus balance with a 5-day expiry starts tugging you back to the cashier.

  1. Register first, then head to the Responsible Gaming section before you go anywhere near the cashier.
  2. Select Deposit Limit and set the period to daily, weekly or monthly.
  3. Type in a sum you could lose entirely and still cover rent, bills and savings. A weekly entertainment budget of A$100 translates straight into a weekly limit of A$100.
  4. For a second safeguard, add a loss or wager limit as well.
  5. Then deposit. Card, e-wallet and crypto deposits all count towards the same limit (T&C 9.10), so moving to crypto won’t sidestep it.

Limits and the welcome bonus

Set your limits with the bonus in mind. Deposit A$100 and you hold an A$200 balance carrying 40x wagering on deposit plus bonus: A$8,000 in pokies bets within 5 days, roughly A$1,600 a day. With a weekly wager limit of A$5,000 you couldn’t clear it in time. That is the limit working as intended. It tells you the bonus has outgrown the budget you’ve just chosen: either deposit less, or keep the limit and play without the bonus.

Cooling-off: why raising a limit takes 24 hours

A reduced limit is active from the moment you save it, whereas a higher one, or removing the limit altogether, waits 24 hours. That wait is intentional. If you could lift a limit mid-session after a losing streak, it would hold back very little; a day’s delay passes the decision to a calmer you. Counting down the hours until a higher limit kicks in is itself a good reason to leave it where it is.

Vegastars self-exclusion and closing your account

Where a time-out is a brief break, self-exclusion is the longer and firmer option, available for 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or permanently. The casino’s Responsible Gambling page says it covers every brand under the same licensee, so signing up at a sister site won’t get around it.

The T&C (section 9.8) point self-exclusion requests to responsible@vegastars.com, while the Responsible Gambling page gives support@vegastars.com. Both inboxes belong to Vegastars. Send the request from the email address registered on your account and it’s easier for staff to match it to you.

To close the account for good, section 9.8.1 allows de-registration on the grounds of problem gambling. Write to responsible@vegastars.com and expect the casino to verify the request before acting on it. Money still left in the account? Ask in that same email what will happen to the balance.

Signs gambling has stopped being entertainment

This list doesn’t diagnose anything. It covers familiar signals that gambling is taking more out of you than it puts back:

  • A loss sends you straight back to the cashier to win it back.
  • Sessions run longer, or cost more, than you’d planned beforehand.
  • Rent, bill or grocery money ends up in the cashier, or you borrow to keep going.
  • You keep how often you play, or how much it costs, from the people closest to you.
  • Play has become an escape from stress, boredom or a bad day, and fun has little to do with it.
  • Cutting back leaves you restless or irritable.
  • An expiring bonus balance sets your playing schedule.

Recognise yourself in any of these? Put a limit in place or take a time-out today, and consider ringing one of the services below. Talking to someone now is easier than doing it once the debts have piled up.

On its own Responsible Gambling page, Vegastars refers players to Gamblers Anonymous and a brief self-assessment screen; the two Australian helplines listed above are named on its pokies and live casino pages. Account questions unrelated to limits are covered on our Vegastars help centre page, which lists every channel from the 24/7 live chat to the complaints inbox.

18+ only

Under T&C 3.2 nobody younger than 18 can play at Vegastars, and the footer says plainly that underage gambling is forbidden. Age is confirmed along the way by the Sumsub identity check, which asks for a passport, a driving licence or a government ID card. On a shared phone or tablet with the site saved to the home screen, delete the icon or lock the device so younger family members can’t open it with a single tap.

What we do on vega-starsaustralia.com

No bonus on this site is pitched as a sure profit. We convert the wagering on every offer into A$, so you can see what it costs before depositing. The A$100 example above means A$8,000 in pokies turnover, or A$80,000 on live tables that count 10%. At a 96.5% RTP, the expected loss on that turnover is about A$280, more than the A$200 balance, so the most you actually put at risk is the A$100 you deposited. It’s a long-run figure; any one session can land anywhere.

None of that money ever comes through us: this site holds no player accounts, takes no deposits and pays no winnings. Still weighing up whether Vegastars suits your budget? Our Vegastars full casino guide lays out the bonuses, payouts and limits in A$ first.
