Very little personal data passes through vega-starsaustralia.com, our Australian site about Vegastars Casino, and this policy accounts for all of it. You won’t find user accounts, a registration form or analytics here, and the site never handles bets or payments. Personal data reaches us, or the services the site runs on, by three routes only: request logs kept by our web server and Cloudflare, font requests sent to Google, and any email you choose to send us.
The publishers of vega-starsaustralia.com (“we”, “us”) operate the site and answer questions about this policy at editorial@vega-starsaustralia.com. Our aim is to treat personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. Looking for the casino itself? Our guide to Vegas Stars casino Australia begins on the homepage; here we deal only with what happens to your data on our side.
What personal data this site handles
The table below is the complete list. Any type of data missing from it is data we don’t collect.
| Data | Who receives it | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| IP address, date and time, page requested, browser user agent, referring page, response code | Our hosting server and Cloudflare | Deliver pages, filter bots and attacks, find errors | A limited period, then deleted or overwritten |
| IP address and user agent | Google (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) | Send font files to your browser | Under Google’s own privacy policy |
| Your name, email address and message, only if you write to us | Us | Reply to you | As long as the conversation needs |
| The note rn_ck = 1 in your browser’s local storage | Nobody: it stays on your device | Remember that you closed the cookie banner | Until you clear site data |
Server and Cloudflare logs
Whenever a browser requests a page, the website receives a handful of technical details. Here the request travels through Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site, before it arrives at our hosting server. Each of them logs it: your IP address, the time, the address you opened, the browser and device type your browser reports, and the page that referred you. We open these records only to fix a fault or when traffic looks like an attack, and never to work out who you are.
Google Fonts
Our fonts are fetched from Google’s servers. Your browser makes that request itself, so Google gets your IP address and user agent directly in order to send the files. That data bypasses us entirely, and what Google does with it falls under Google’s privacy policy.
Emails you send us
An email to editorial@vega-starsaustralia.com gives us whatever it contains: your address, your name if you sign off with it, and the message itself. We use that to reply and, where you’ve flagged an error, to fix the guide. Please leave out passwords, ID documents and card details. We never request them and would delete them as soon as they arrived.
What we don’t collect
Without an account system or registration form, the site holds no logins or profiles. No analytics tool is installed, and the pages carry no advertising pixels or tracking tags. Personal data is never sold, rented out or used to build advertising profiles. Your casino account, balance and betting history are invisible to us.
How we use the data
Everything in the table is used for a handful of purposes:
- delivering the pages you request, quickly and in a legible typeface;
- keeping the site online and shutting out automated abuse, scraping and attacks;
- tracking down broken pages and server errors so they can be fixed;
- replying to emails and correcting the guide when a reader points out a mistake.
Any new use of personal data would come only after this policy is updated, and only if it fits the reason the data was collected in the first place.
Cookies and local storage
Only one item is stored in your browser by the site itself: the rn_ck note from the table, which never travels to our server. Cloudflare may add a technical cookie for security, __cf_bm for example, and WordPress login cookies are set for site administrators alone. Our Vegastars guide cookie policy gives the names, owners and lifetimes, plus steps for deleting or blocking them in your browser.
Who else processes your data
Request data is handled on our behalf, or alongside us, by three service providers: our hosting provider, Cloudflare and Google (fonts only). Because Cloudflare and Google operate infrastructure in many countries, that data may be processed outside Australia. Beyond those providers, personal data is shared only when the law requires it or when protecting the site from abuse makes it necessary.
Leaving for the Vegastars website
A click on one of our buttons takes you to the Vegastars website, and from then on the casino’s own privacy policy governs your data. Like any site, it receives the standard details your browser sends with a visit, such as your IP address and the page you came from. Whatever you enter there, from a sign-up email to verification documents, goes to Vegastars alone and never reaches us.
Raise questions about a casino account, verification files or a payout with Vegastars, for instance at support@vegastars.com. Data held by the casino is beyond our reach: we can’t access, correct or delete it.
How long we keep data
Request logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting, after which they are deleted or overwritten. An email stays with us while we deal with it and any follow-up; once the conversation is over, you can ask for it to be deleted. Local storage sits in your browser until you clear it, where we have no way of reaching it.
How the site protects data
Every page loads over HTTPS, which encrypts data moving between your browser and the site. Only the people who maintain the guide can get into the WordPress dashboard. Holding so little data limits what could ever be exposed, though no website can rule out every security incident. Should one ever touch data we hold, we would move to contain it and notify the people affected wherever we could identify them.
Your rights and how to use them
You can ask us to:
- confirm what personal data we hold about you;
- fix anything that is inaccurate;
- erase your emails and any other data of yours we hold;
- stop using your data for a specific purpose.
Requests go to editorial@vega-starsaustralia.com. Logs aren’t tied to names, so tracing an entry means giving us the date, approximate time and IP address involved. Before acting, we may ask you to confirm the request from the same email address. There is no charge.
Readers under 18
The guide is meant for adults, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you’re under 18 and have emailed us, or you’re a parent who thinks your child has, let us know and the message will be deleted.
Changes to this policy
If the way the site handles data changes, say through a new service provider, this page is revised before the change takes effect. Whatever is published here is the current version. Rules on using the content itself are in the Vegastars guide terms of use.
